Patients who used the LocalMed portal to schedule, modify or reschedule a dental appointment between March 2022 and June 2025, including those who received a notice about the settlement, may be eligible to claim a pro rata cash payment from a class action settlement .

Dental Intelligence Inc. agreed to pay $5.75 million to settle a class action lawsuit alleging it improperly disclosed information users of the LocalMed portal shared. The lawsuit claimed the company collected and transmitted individuals' information to Google and other unauthorized third parties without user consent.

Who can file a claim for a settlement payout?

Class members are U.S. residents who used the LocalMed portal to schedule, modify or reschedule a dental appointment between March 2022 and June 2025 and shared information through the portal that Dental Intelligence allegedly disclosed or transmitted to Google or another unauthorized third party.

How much are settlement payments?

Class members who submit a valid claim form may be eligible to receive a pro rata cash payment from the settlement fund. The total amount each claimant receives depends on the number of valid claims submitted and deductions for attorneys’ fees and costs, service awards to class representatives and administration costs.

How to claim a class action payout

To receive a cash payment, eligible class members must submit an online claim form or print and complete the PDF claim form and mail it to the settlement administrator.

When is the Dental Intelligence settlement payout date?
